With the arrival of next-gen consoles, many games have had to adapt to allow players to take full advantage of the new capabilities of these consoles. Some have yet to do this, which can put a strain on fans’ patience. This is the case of Rockstar with GTA V . Today, good news, we learn that the PS5 version will run in 4K and 60 fps .
On PS5, GTA V will run in 4K and 60 fps
Many gamers are patiently waiting for the release of GTA 6. That being said, it may not arrive for several years. And until then, it must be said that the studio is more than happy with GTA V, which still generates impressive revenues. However, you might remember that a few months ago it was announced that GTA V would arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X in November.
Enough to keep many fans coming back?
While it is evident that some players have already grown bored of the game, perhaps they could decide to come back to it at the end of the year. Indeed, according to a post on the Sony Germany PlayStation Blog, we learn that the game will run in 4K and 60 fps. This information only concerns the PS5 but it’s a safe bet that the same will apply to the Xbox Series X. There is no doubt that the Microsoft machine will run the game under the same conditions.
Note, currently, GTA V runs in 4K on PS4 but it is not a “real” 4K. It’s an upscaled version of the game, at 4K. This is because, as some have pointed out, only the PC version of GTA V has 4K files. The PS4 version, on the other hand, only has 1080p files. In other words, impossible to offer a “real” 4K.
So let’s hope that the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will give fans a true 4K experience, otherwise disappointment will certainly be there. And it would be a great shame not to take full advantage of the capabilities of these new consoles.
