A new network card that takes up Gigabyte’s elegant VISION design and its uniform is white dress.
At first glance, nothing looks like it should look more like a PCI-Express network card than another PCI-Express network card. However, like what can be seen in the graphics card market , Gigabyte has decided to spruce things up.
Marvell AQtion AQC113C
The manufacturer announces the upcoming release of the GC-AQC113C 10G, a 10GbE network card marketed under the VISION brand. This range is characterized by a uniform white design based on a large fairing system.
From the outset, and contrary to what the photos might suggest, the fairing does not seem to have to act as a heat sink. The card itself is therefore designed around the AQtion AQC113C, a 10 GbE controller from Marvell.
It accepts up to category 6A and 7 cables to achieve speeds of 10 Gbps, but remains fully backward compatible: 5 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 1 Gbps, 100 Mbps and 10 Mbps. Equipped with a single Ehternet port, the card is low profile and will therefore fit in the smallest configurations.
The GV-AQC113C 10G uses a PCIe 3.0 x4 port and has two brackets (standard and low profile ). On the other hand, Gigabyte has not seen fit to communicate a price for the moment.
